Brief Introduction
GWSL862H4J-G is an ideal solution for medium and large scale HFC networks.
The most noticeable feature is modularization design: forward path optical receiver, return path optical transmitter, and SNMP responder are made as independent modules, which makes replacement simple and easy.
This node provides good redundancy. One GWSL862H4J-G could be load 2pcs forward-path optical receiver modules, 2pcs return-path optical transmitter modules. The “A/B Switch”, embedded on this node, senses optical power and switches to Backup module automatically when Main module fails.
A uniquely designed AGC/MGC unit is built inside. The node can be configured to work under AGC mode or MGC node. Under AGC mode, the AGC circuit senses optical power and keeps RF output level constant. Under MGC mode, RF level could be tuned by the Attenuation Control Board which offers 0~15.5dB, 0.5dB/step attenuation.
Total 4 RF outputs are provided. Amplification is carried out by GaAs power doubler amplifier module. Each output’s slope and level could be regulated independently.
